An open, raw and honest account of a mother's journey through grief, addiction and then recovery - this is how Nix Adams went from being a survivor to a star.

'There's no one as dangerous as someone who believes they have nothing to lose.'

Eight years ago, Nix Adams started posting videos on Facebook while she was freshly out of jail, in order to show her kids that she was sober and on the path back to them. It was after her third child, Alaska, died suddenly of a virus in 2013 that a spiral of grief and then addiction led Nix to five years of chaos, leading to a stint in maximum security prison where she finally hit rock bottom and started to work her way back up. Now, she's one of Aotearoa's most beloved storytellers, with a whānau of almost three million people watching her raw, funny and honest videos on social media.

Nothing To Lose is a story about survival and what it takes to start over.
