W75 route directions

Follow the route in order and collect each stamp along the way.

Start to Ashley

Start

Corner Williams & Charles Streets, Kaiapoi.
Begin on the Charles Street steps and find the W75 plaque beside the entrance.

Stamp 1 - Kaiapoi

Behind the bookstore on the north side, opposite Subway.

Ride east along the Kaiapoi stopbank on the Pegasus Bay Cycle Trail. Continue all the way to Waikuku.

Stamp 2 - Waikuku

The Waikuku Store.

Follow the Pegasus Bay Cycle Trail upstream beside the Ashley River. Cross the Ashley River, then turn sharply right onto the scenic Tarapiroe Trail.

Stamp 3 - Ashley

The Ashley Hotel.

Ashley to Mandeville

Leave The Ashley Hotel via High Street. Follow:

  • Marshmans Road
  • Dixons Road
  • Boundary Road
  • Fawcetts Road
  • Cones Road

Continue over the river before joining River Road.

Optional detour: Rangiora township for food and refreshments.

Continue via:

River Road → Lehmans Road → Priors Road → Martons Road → Plasketts Road → Ashworths Road → Mill Road → McRoberts Road → Dawsons Road.

Just before the bend on Dawsons Road, take the path on the right into Mandeville Village.

Stamp 4 - Mandeville

By the gate as you enter village.

Mandeville to finish

Leave Mandeville Village via Mandeville Road.

At Eyreton Hall (4 Mandeville Road) you'll find:

Stamp 5 - Eyreton

Eyreton Hall.

Continue:

  • South Eyre Road (traffic - take care)
  • Haywards Road
  • Taylors Road

Climb onto the Waimakariri stopbank. Ride downstream beneath both bridges. Follow the trail markers back into Kaiapoi.

Finish where you started Congratulations - you've completed the W75!
